Before

Follow official weather and AFAD warnings; make an evacuation plan if you’re in a risk area.
Keep clean water and basic supplies ready (e.g., a battery flashlight).

During

Never drive or walk through floodwater; do not attempt to cross flooded roads.
If power is out and you suspect a gas leak, do not use electrical devices/lights; use a battery flashlight.
If possible, leave the flood area and move to higher, safer ground.

After

Do not enter buildings until authorities say it’s safe and damage checks are done.
Use waterproof shoes and a battery flashlight when inspecting.
Take photos for insurance; do not consume food left in floodwater (including canned goods).
Make sure there is no gas leak or submerged electrical hazard before using appliances.
